Genuine Cycling Review

Editorial policy

Genuine Cycling Review aims to make cycling easier to understand without making claims the material cannot support. We explain what we know, distinguish it from interpretation and make room for corrections.

Accuracy and clarity

We check factual statements against suitable sources before publication and take care with technical terms, dates and distinctions between bicycle types or riding contexts. Where a point is uncertain or depends on circumstances, we say so rather than presenting one answer as universal. Our articles are for general information, not a substitute for qualified inspection or local requirements.

Independence and partnerships

Editorial decisions are made for readers, not as a promise of favourable coverage. If an article or placement is paid for, supplied by a partner or otherwise commercially connected, we label that relationship clearly where it appears. A partnership does not entitle a contributor or partner to dictate independent editorial conclusions.

Corrections

If you spot a factual error or a passage that needs clarification, contact us through the Contact page and identify the article and the point at issue. We review specific, substantiated concerns and update material when warranted. Significant changes should be made clear to readers; we do not silently preserve a known error for the sake of appearance.

Illustrations

Some illustrations may be generated with artificial intelligence. We take care that imagery supports the subject and does not stand in for evidence, a real product test or a documentary photograph. An illustration should not be read as proof that a particular bicycle, component or event exists exactly as depicted.
